Leewood K-8 Center’s parent community voted in favor of student uniforms beginning with the 2010-2011 school year. Uniforms assist in the identification of our students as well as instilling a sense of pride and respect for our school. Uniforms may be purchased through our preferred vendor IBILEY or any local establishment that offers you the color combinations adopted by this school. The uniform policy was developed with the input of staff, students, parents and administration. In order for students to be in compliance with the official uniform policy, please adhere to the following regulations:

 

UNIFORM DESCRIPTION

 

Note: “Spirit-Wear” is defined as clothing which has been pre-approved by Leewood K-8 Center and is related to school activities, organizations or clubs.

 

•  Shirt: Polo style shirt or approved t-shirt. Solid color, polo style collared short-sleeved shirt with school logo. No brand name logos over 1” in diameter.

 

Acceptable colors: Black, Gold and White.

 

ONLY ON FRIDAYS: PREAPPROVED SPIRIT-WEAR T-SHIRT MAY BE WORN IN LIEU OF POLO SHIRT.

•  Sweatshirts: Solid color sweatshirts or preapproved spirit-wear hoodie.

Acceptable colors: Black, Gold, White and Gray.

 

• Shorts/Pants: Knee length, Capri, cargo or full length style shorts or pants.

 

Although we do not have a uniform bottom policy, students must adhere to school dress code. Shorts must reach the top of the knee. Any color bottoms are acceptable but may not have embellishments, patches or holes. Jeans may also be worn.

UNACCEPTABLE BOTTOMS: Low cut jeans, leggings, yoga pants, lounge pants, exercise pants, pajama pants, shorts or skirts shorter than finger-tip length, swimwear; jeans/shorts/pants/skirts may not have holes.

 

• Shoes: Sneakers or other completely closed shoes.

 

Parents may obtain uniform items from any store or vendor of their choosing, but clothing must adhere to the requirements and colors listed above. Leewood K-8 Center uniforms with the school logo may be purchased at our preferred provider, IBILEY School Uniforms, located at 11530 S.W. 120 Street.
